We’re delighted to share our 23 shortlisted entries here. We have chosen one drawing from each entry to share with you.

Wow! What amazing work and illustrators! It was an incredibly tough selection process for our judges, and as you can see the standard of work is very high.
The entries were judged blind by the team of Clara and Ed Vulliamy, Ken Wilson-Max, Ness Wood and Maisie Paradise Shearring and the shortlist of 23 was chosen from over 400 entries.
It was an inspiring day full deliberation, consideration and debate!
The winning entry, runner-up and highly commended will be announced on July 16th, Shirley Hughes’ birthday. They will be announced over on our Instagram and also here, on our Orange Beak blog!
