The nights are drawing in, temperatures are dropping and we are approaching the festive season. It must be time to launch this years Once Upon A Winter competition!
We’ve just posted the list of prompts over on Instagram to inspire you to create a series of six beautiful illustrations that will link up to make a mini wintery narrative.
We’ll be sharing some of your sketches on the dates listed below and when all six illustrations are completed we will chose an overall winner who will be gifted a free Orange Beak tutorial in the New Year.
This years word prompts are…..
1st December The Little Friend
4th December Mist
8th December Meeting
11th December Amulet
15th December Crackle
18th December Under The Tree
In order to be considered for this years prize you must create an image for each word prompt and post them with the hashtag #OnceUponAWinter2026 - and don’t forget to tag @OrangeBeakStudio too so that we can share your sketches
Best of luck everyone!
