Designed to cover areas of development such as plot, narrative, pacing, character development, and advice/tips on pitching to agents and publishers, our Story tutorial will look at your manuscript in depth. We love working closely with our clients, and will take things at a pace which suits you – ideal for helping inspire, develop, and focus your creative writing practice.

With this tutorial, you’ll get feedback on your story, advice from our industry experts Mariesa or Ramona to help you set achievable targets to keep you on track. In short, each one-to-one tutorial is tailored to your story, and your individual needs!

With Story tutorials, it can be useful to have more than one tutorial – especially if you’d like continued, focussed feedback on your work, if you have more than one picture book text you’d like to discuss, or if you’re looking to grow your voice as a writer. DETAILS

As part of this tutorial, you will first receive detailed written feedback with goals to work towards. You will then speak with your tutor on Zoom for 30 minutes to discuss your work and ask any questions about your written feedback.

  • In this tutorial you will receive detailed written feedback on your story, this feedback is emailed to you

  • Once you have received your written feedback you will have a 30 minute live Zoom call where your tutor will discuss your work and answer any questions you have about your written feedback

  • All feedback is individual to you
